Mary Took the Risk

Be it done to me according to your word…. Have I ever said that to anyone? I’m not sure I have. But Mary took the risk and said it to God.

Joseph cared for his wife at great cost to himself. He loved Mary more than he loved his reputation. Joseph’s love took courage.

Joseph protected Mary. He cared for her. How his love must have gifted Mary's heart!

The words “suitable helper” upset a lot of women . Is God implying wives are mere servants? I don’t think so – and neither does God.

When God says 'helper' He refers to someone with great skill – someone like Himself.
